A Historic Easter at the Orient of Brockton: Frères Réunis Lodge Brings Together Over 200 Participants
By Brother Lafontaine Orvild
Brockton, MA — April 5, 2026. The Orient of Brockton witnessed an exceptional moment this Sunday. For the first time in its history, the Respectable Lodge Frères Réunis No. 597 Inc. hosted a grand Easter celebration, gathering more than 200 participants in an atmosphere that was both fraternal, solemn, and festive — a milestone that will long be remembered in the local Masonic life.

Under the authority of Worshipful Master Wilce Mascary, this Easter celebration embodied a spirit of renewal and outreach. Never before had an Easter event of such scale been organized at the Orient of Brockton. Brothers, Sisters, families, and guests filled the hall to capacity, while delegations from other Orients across Massachusetts made the journey, underscoring the regional significance of the occasion.

The theme chosen for this inaugural edition, “Light, Resurrection, and Fraternity,” echoed the fundamental values of Freemasonry and the Easter symbolism of rebirth, hope, and spiritual elevation.
A Solemn and Symbolic Opening

The day began at 12:00 PM with a White Meeting, exceptionally open to families. The Temple, adorned with spring colors and Easter motifs, welcomed participants in a spirit of reflection and emotion. On this occasion, the Worshipful Master delivered a memorable address, drawing a parallel between the Easter Resurrection and the raising of Master Hiram — inviting all to inner work grounded in transformation and virtue.
Agape Under the Sign of Sharing
At 3:00 PM, participants gathered for the fraternal agape, the central moment of the day. More than 200 guests shared a banquet of exceptional quality, featuring the traditional Easter lamb, symbolic breads, wines, and desserts lovingly prepared by the Sisters of the Workshop. Ritual toasts and speeches strengthened the bonds among attendees in a warm and convivial atmosphere.

A Family and Cultural Dimension
A highlight of the afternoon was the cultural and family program — a true innovation for the Lodge. Visibly moved at the closing, the Worshipful Master expressed heartfelt thanks to all Brothers and Sisters who contributed to the success of the event, emphasizing that this celebration was only the beginning and calling for an even more ambitious edition next year.

A Turning Point for the Orient of Brockton
With over 200 participants, exemplary organization, and broad regional resonance, Easter 2026 now positions the Orient of Brockton as a vibrant and radiant Masonic center. The Lodge Frères Réunis demonstrates that a Freemasonry faithful to its traditions can also be living, open, and attuned to its time.
April 5, 2026 will thus remain a landmark date — the day when the Easter Light shone with renewed brilliance upon Brockton.
